Found: Project Life

I have been looking for a new hobby lately. I came across an Instagram hashtag for "Project Life" and fell in love. I must have been out of it for the last few years, because I am just now finding out about it!

I want to of course put my GEEKY twist into it. I love the simplicity and easiness of it. I've always wanted to start a scrap book but didn't want to get into all the gluing and mess. I was wondering if anyone makes their own decorative cards and such?

I am planning to make a trip to the Hobby Lobby to see what I could possibly come up with on my own. Have any of you ordered the actual "Project Life" kits? They seem great, but I'd still like to really personalize mine.

I am also excited, because I feel it would motivate me to use all my camera equipment and do more photography of my everyday life. It would really be something beautiful to look back on.

Tips/Tricks, please share!

  1. I just started Project Life as well!! I'm working on both 2013 and Cardiff/London/Paris albums! I bought a core kit (midnight) which is basic black, white, grey, yellow cards. They came with 10 of each card but I don't need that many. I can send you a set of cards! (2 of the 3x4 designs!) I've been meaning to post WIP on my blog. I'm in a Valentine Swap and plan on putting those cards into my album.

Sorry, I just had a massive geek out in my comment about Project Life. Haha..

My intention was to use it as a memory book for my boyfriend and i but ended up using it as a '2013' book, i put everything i did that year in it, haha! It's so much fun to take pics, get em printed, find cute little papers to perfectly match your day. I love scrapbooking <3
